History
WCU was started by Copenhagen Flying Circus in 2002 with the first tournament happening in May 2003.
The idea of an international tournament in Copenhagen had been stirring inside several of the Juhl-brothers among others for some years, but 2003 became the first year it was realized.
The original organizing team consisted, among several others, by the key persons Matthias, Thor and Mehlbye, 3 guys who played a lot of tournaments and where known for being good players and cool guys with attitude. Many teams know/knew them personally and came to associate WCU with them and for the first year(s) many came because of especially Mattias’ personal contact to many of the teams.
